  Who knew how many idioms and phrases there were containing the word ‘hand’! I certainly didn’t until I started researching them. A lot are common in everyday speech and are therefore useful to learn. As there are so many, this will be the first of two posts, Part 1 and Part 2. As you might imagine, ‘hand’ features in idioms that convey something about control and power.   NTA JEE Main 2021 Exam Date, schedule HIGHLIGHTS:  The schedule of the  Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021  has been released today by Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. The entrance test for admission in premier IITs, NITs will be held from February 23 to 26. The candidates can download the application from the website-  jeemain.nta.nic.in . The minister said the engineering entrance will be held in multiple shifts from next year — February, March, April and May. Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal in his tweet informed, “Thank you all for sharing your constructive suggestions regarding JEE (Main) exams. We have got your suggestions examined. I will be announcing the schedule, number of times the exam will be held at 6 PM today. Stay tuned.” JEE Main will also have a new exam pattern. The candidates have to attempt 75 questions out of 90 – or 25 out of questions 30 in each section of chemistry, physics and mathematics.

  CBSE has released a clarification stating that it is yet to finalise the CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2021.   Schools across India were shuttered in mid-March to prevent spread of Coronavirus and students were taught through online classes the entire year. Schools were unable to complete the syllabus in the absence of on-campus classes and the worst affected are the students of Class 10 and 12 who will write their board exams in 2021. Some states had partially reopened the schools following the guidelines of the Centre to enable Class 10 and 12 students to clear their doubts and complete their practical and project works but educational institutions in many states could not be reopened because of the rising number of Covid-19 cases.   CBSE issued a statement stating that the decision regarding CBSE Board examinations will only be taken after consultation with all the stakeholders and will be communicated at an appropriate time at the official website. Refuting media reports that claim that Central Board of secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the board examinations for Classes 10 th , 12 th  in March, the Board clarified that it will not conduct the exams anytime around that month. The exam will be computer-based and in English. It would consists of some multiple-choice questions. For all MCQs, there would be negative marking while for other questions, no marks will be deducted for the wrong answers.
