IIM CAT 2020: Dress code, important guidelines to follow

For all MCQs, there would be negative marking while for other questions, no marks will be deducted for the wrong answers. IIT-Bombay best in country, 8 Indian institutes in top 500: QS World University Ranking 2021

The USA continued to dominate the ranking with four out of the top five institutes including the top rank holder MIT being from the country. Among Asian counterparts, the top-ranking was the National University of Singapore. QS Ranking 2021:  The  Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay  is the best institute in India, as per the latest QS World University Ranking 2021. The institute has been ranked 172nd in top universities across the world by the Quacquarelli Symonds Ranking. Candidates who have appeared in the examination can check their results online at jkbose.ac.in. Odisha School News |Education Minister defends merging of schools, LoP alleges failure of Government

  Odisha Government's decision to merge 7000 schools in the state has met with strong opposition with LoP calling it government's failure to run the schools. A day after Odisha Assembly erupted in a huge ruckus over a government decision involving over 7000 schools, School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Sunday said that the state government is trying to improve the teaching environment and impart quality education by merging schools with fewer students. However, Leader of Opposition (LoP) Pradipta Nayak alleged that the government failed to run the schools in the state. Dash said that schools in scheduled areas with less than 15 students will be merged with another nearby institution, while in non-scheduled areas, the exercise will be carried out if the student strength of a school is less than 20. CBSE class 12 exam 2021: Board raises weightage for MCQs in Class XII

  After reducing 30% of the syllabus for Class XII, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has now changed the question paper pattern, giving more weightage to multiplechoice based questions and those based on case studies. CHENNAI: After reducing 30% of the syllabus for Class XII,  the Central Board of Secondary Education  (CBSE) has now changed the question paper pattern, giving more weightage to multiple-choice based questions and those based on case studies. After sample question papers for Classes X and XII were released, schools said the weightage for MCQs had increased by nearly 10%. For subjects like physics, questions based on thinking skills such as ascertaining and reasoning have been introduced. In biology, MCQs have been replaced with short-answer type questions.

ICAI CA November 2020 exam: Over 31k aspirants opt-out of exam, to take it next year

MUMBAI: Close to 31,500 chartered accountancy aspirants of the total 4.7 lakh have so far opted out of the November session of the exam, scheduled to start from Saturday. Of these, two-thirds have chosen the additional attempt offered by  the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India  (ICAI) in January and the remaining 11,687 candidates have opted for the session in May. On Thursday, the ICAI announced the additional session will start from January 21, 2021, giving relief to a section of students, who were demanding the schedule before deciding to opt out of the exam. While concerns from candidates continued to pour in over the conduct of physical exams amid and a pandemic, ICAI president, Atul Gupta, said students can decide to opt out even on the last date of the exam of that are apprehensive.
